What I envision for District 9 when I win the chairman position, is initially to ensure that each of our seven counties is equally represented on the executive committee. It takes a team of committees to run a district. We, as the executive committee, need to keep the delegates informed, so that they can get the right candidates elected in all positions in their counties. Your D9 representation works for you!

Let me introduce myself. I’m Luke Deming. I was born and raised in Michigan’s Thumb, grew up in Bay Port and now reside in Bad Axe. Married for 30 years this year, my wife and I have four grown children and are richly blessed by God with seven awesome grandkids - four boys and three girls aged 12 years to the 2 who are 1. I am a Christian who loves Jesus. I hunt and fish and love God’s beautiful nature. I am mechanically inclined and love to build and repair things. In my younger years I worked in the HVAC industry and performed both sales work and hands-on welding, etc, for the Big Three auto industries. I feel that the experiences in dealing with employees and executives have given me the ability to communicate effectively and solve problems in deficient areas.
I was involved in the Mackinaw Republican Party located in Michigan’s lovely Mackinaw Island in September of 2023. My job was to assist at the credentials table and I was a proxy for a teammate to carry her vote. It was an honor.
Here I am pulling this awesome and patriotic float which appeared in several local parades. The Veteran Banner received applause and standing ovations from the crowd. The idea behind this float is to raise public awareness that the GOP is back in Huron County.
Our GOP returned to the Huron County Fair for the 2nd year featuring give-aways of beautiful items donated by various people and businesses. We featured campaign signs of Republicans that we were proud to get behind. We ran five challengers against seven commissioners in Huron County and won three seats.

Here I am as vice chair at the State Convention in Flint. These handsome folks are duly elected delegates and to my right is Larry Leipprandt, who was the chair at this time. I took our cool banner along and hung it on our chairs (we were seated in the back now). I wanted the new delegates to be proud and excited to be involved and to encourage others to step up. I happily met Mr. Henry Hatter of Detroit who is showing me the award he was given at this event for his involvement in his country for the GOP.
Meet my daughter Lily, who at age 28 is attending her first convention as an alternate and was then elevated to the position of voting delegate. She also served as an alternative that day, you can see how excited she was!
Have you seen the documentary 2000 Mules? Our town brought it to our local theatre and we helped facilitate its viewing many times. Here I am with Gregg Phillips and Catherine Englebrecht in Lake Orion.

How funny is this photo? Taken in Macomb County at a Reagan fundraiser dinner. My wife and I scouted it out in order to learn the specifics of planning such a thing. We met some interesting people! Trump rallies are also a lot of fun and magical! We’ve been to many.
Happily installing election signs around the Thumb for Donald Trump. These signs were designed and produced by a local printer. I believe in keeping the money in your counties.
Don't be afraid to stand up for your political beliefs in public. This is my wife and I. We got many thumbs up, thank yous, and positive feedback for our Trump t-shirts.
My Trump sign, a popular icon along M53 heading home in Bad Axe. It is 5 feet tall and 26 feet long. I built it after Donald Trump announced his 2016 run for the election. This sign has been used for Trump Trains, parades, and is popular among visitors to Huron county. People say they know they’re in Trump Country when they see it and report that they’ve sent photos to loved ones in Florida, Texas, California to mention a few.
Happy to be in the newspaper with Mr. Trump, even though I am below the fold and he takes top billing! Haha. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve been in the newspaper regarding Republican politics. Members of the public are encouraged by this stance and have decided to vote again. I was informed that 70% of our county voted in the last election. The usual turnout is less than 50%.
My President Trump approves of my t-shirt and he wants everyone to vote for me for presidential elector.
Happy Fall ya’ll. Family matters. Grandkids matter. Here I am with my wife Kellie and our three youngest grandkids at our local pumpkin patch which belongs to our friends and neighbors who sell pumpkins for their kids' college funds.

I stumbled across this beautiful piece of sentiment and agree with the stand of these true Patriots! I believe that we should continue to stand firm on the commitments that the Constitution signers created and upheld.
I like this saying, as I have native American blood in my heritage.
Accomplishments for the betterment of Huron County GOP

I attended multiple Commissioner meetings in order to watch and learn about how things work in our county.

Same with the Planning Commission meetings

I had to stand and fight in front of 50+ people to become a poll challenger due to another person’s failure to run in email information this really shows that I am a true leader

There are many other occasions where I took on the battle for others instead of doing nothing

Took a class in Robert’s Rules of Order

Continual scouting of the community for the right people for the right jobs

Signature drives

Placed someone new on the HuCo Board of Canvassers

Fought for the citizens of Bad Axe to get the marijuana issue put on the ballot

Learned about referendums, both how to, when to prepare

Established contacts in all seven counties in District 9 and spoke to all chairs that would speak to me

Working in these items while always maintaining a grassroots attitude

Always supporting a pro-ife stance and protecting the 2nd Amendment and the entire Constitution

I have become a go-getter on the fundraising front!

I’m all about removing the voting machines and supporting hand-counting of paper ballots and have begun working towards this.

I have spoken in person to many township and precinct clerks and also the county clerk about various issues and am getting to know them on a personal level as much as allowed.

I have gotten to know our county Sheriff and am sharing facts about the Constitution and MCL election laws with him.

I have the full endorsement of my executive committee to be the next District 9 chair.
